Day 01

Arrive in Delhi

 

Delhi, the capital city, unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries and gardens. It is comprised of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi.

Late evening arrive in Delhi. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our staff and transferred to your hotel in Delhi (Rooms will be booked from 1200 hrs).

Day 02

Delhi

 

In the morning have sightseeing tour of Delhi.

 

In Old Delhi, drive past Red fort, built in Red Sand stone this imposing fort is 3 Kms in perimeter with the height of the wall varying from 18 to 30 meters at places.

 

Visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Completed in 1658 this Mosque has three gateways, four angle towers and two 40 m high minarets. It is India’s largest mosque where more than 20.000 people can kneel in prayer.

 

You will visit Gandhi Smriti Museum, where Mahatma Gandhi spent his last 144 days of his life. A quiet and calm place to visit, it highlights various aspects of the life of Mahatma, his ideas, principles and values (Closed on Mondays).

 

In New Delhi, visit Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is a pilgrimage centre for both, Hindus and Sikhs. One can visit the main complex bare-footed only, covering one's head and wearing conservative clothes, covering legs and shoulders.

 

Drive past Janpath, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament, Government Buildings and India Gate. India Gate was built as a memorial to commemorate the 70,000 Indian soldiers killed in the First World War.

 

Also visit 12th Century Qutab Minar. It is 238 feet in height, 47 feet at the base and tapers to nine feet at the apex. The tower is ornamented by bands of inscriptions and by four projecting balconies supported by elaborately decorated brackets.

Day 03

Delhi – Agra (230 Kms)

 

In the morning drive to Agra.

 

Agra, the city of Mughals offers you an opportunity to explore the massive monuments, majestic buildings, and the popular arts and crafts.

 

On arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel.

 

In the afternoon visit Agra Fort; built by Emperor Akbar on the west bank of the river Yamuna and beautified with palaces and gardens by Jehangir, Agra Fort today dominates the centre of the city. The crescent-shaped fort with its 20-metre high, 2.4-km outer walls contains a maze of buildings that form a small city within a city.

 

In the morning visit Taj Mahal, a poem in white marble, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. (Taj remains closed on every Friday).

 

It took twenty-two years and hard toil of more than twenty thousand workers to construct Taj Mahal. The beauty of the Taj Mahal is enchanting and it reflects the marvelous beauty of architecture of the Mughal period.

Day 04

Agra – Fathepur Sikri - Ranthambore (290 Kms)

 

In the morning drive to Ranthambore. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. 

 

Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful and deserted city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. The Mughals later abandoned this city for lack of water. Fatehpur Sikri had a short life of splendor. Once Akbar left it in 1585, it never regained its lost importance and has remained the most magnificent and well-preserved ghost city of India.  

 

Later proceed to Ranthambhore.

​

Ranthambore used to be the hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Later it was declared as a game sanctuary in 1955. In 1980, it was declared as a national park and listed among the reserves protected under Project Tiger.

Day 05

Ranthambore

 

In the Morning enjoy the Jeep Safari in Ranthambore National Park.

 

The park is most famous for its diurnal tigers. For a relatively small area, the park has a rich diversity of fauna and flora - species list includes 300 trees, 50 aquatic plants, 272 birds, and 12 reptiles including the Marsh Crocodile & amphibians and 30 mammals.

 

A tiger, the park’s pride makes it one of the best places in the country to observe them. Apart from that a large numbers of Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Gazelle, Boars, Mongoose, Indian Hare, Monitor Lizards and a large number of birds.

 

Later in the afternoon also enjoy Afternoon safari into the national park.

Day 06

Ranthambore - Jaipur (180 Kms)

 

Morning drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

 

 

Day 07

Jaipur

 

In the morning visit Amber Fort with Jeep / elephant ride.

 

Amber Fort is situated on the crest of a hill seven miles north of Jaipur is Amber, capital of the Kuchwaha Rajputs from 1037 to 1728. Man Singh I built it in a style to rival Mughal grandeur and opulence. The city-palace is protected by towering outer walls; a further wall runs for miles along the hills surrounding the palace.

 

In the afternoon have sightseeing tour of Jaipur city.

 

Make a photo stop at the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), a sample of the perfection, build with the pink & red sandstone, beautifully carved and outlined with white border.

 

You will visit City Palace, a combination of conventional Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. It is a huge complex, which houses many courtyards, gardens, the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the city palace museum.

 

Also visit Jantar Mantar, built between 1716. It is located within the city palace. Jantar Mantar contains a collection of instruments for observing the movements of sun, moon, planets and stars. It was built to develop the interest of the people in Astronomy.

 

In the evening have Rickshaw Ride in local lanes of Pink City.

Day 08

Jaipur – Khimsar (280 Kms)

Moring enjoy your breakfast and later proceed for Khimsar. Khimsar Fort is located near Khinvsar village, in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan in India, halfway between Jodhpur and Nagaur, on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert. The fortress was built in 1523 by Rao Karamsji, the 8th son of Rao Jodha of Jodhpur.

Day 09

Khimsar – Jaisalmer (288 Kms)

Breakfast and drive to Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer induces a dramatic picture of utter magic and brilliance of the desert. One of the main draws is the daunting 12th century Jaisalmer Fort and beautiful havelis yet another interesting aspect of the Jaisalmer are the sloppy sand dunes while you ramble your way in a camel safari.

Day 10

Jaisalmer

 

In the morning visit Jaisalmer Fort, the beautiful landmark of the city. It is occupied by shops, stalls, and a number of other business concerns. It is also known as Golden fort, the mega structure merges with the golden hues of the desert ambience.

 

The Jain temple, situated inside the fort, made between 12th and 15th century, bears testimony to Rajasthan unique artistry.

 

Visit the Havelis; the mansions built by the wealthy merchants, which are still in very good condition. The intricate craftsmanship is beyond parallel. The Havelis like the Patwon-ki-Haveli and Salim-Singh-ki-Haveli are remarkable for their exclusive cutwork, yellow and red stone treatment and the bracket-shaped decoration of peacocks.

 

Bada Bagh, was commissioned by Maharawal Jait Singh in the early 16th century and completed by his son Lunakaran after his death.

 

Late afternoon drive to Sam Sand Dunes; situated at the edge of the Thar Desert. You will enjoy Camel ride with sunset in Sam.

Day 11

Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (290 Kms)

 

In the morning drive to Jodhpur.

 

On arrival in Jodhpur, check in at the hotel

 

In the afternoon you will visit the impressive Mehrangarh Fort on a 37 m low sandstone hill built by Rao Jodha in 1459. From the top of the fort one can get a bird’s eye view of the old city. You will notice the predominance of blue houses referred to as Brahmin houses - the colour being associated with the high caste.

 

Nearby, visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph built in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II, and smaller memorials to other Maharajahs of Jodhpur.

Day 12

Jodhpur – Udaipur (270 Kms)

 

Breakfast in the morning and drive to Udaipur. Enroute visit Jain Temples of Ranakpur.

The Ranakpur Jain Temple excels them all as an exquisite work of art and architecture. There are a number of beautiful and delicately carved sculptures in this shrine which defy comparison. The temple is an eloquent testimony to India's cultural heritage, her unique architecture and the vision and acumen of her past master artists.

Day 13

Udaipur

​

After breakfast visit the City Palace towering over the Pichola Lake. Maharana Uday Singh initiated in the construction of the palace but succeeding Maharanas added several palaces and structures to the complex retained a surprising uniformity to the design.

 

Visit the Jagdish Temple; built by Maharana Jagat Singh I in 1651, the temple enshrines a black stone image of Lard Vishnu. The exterior and the plinth are covered with base relief of alligators; elephants, horsemen and celestial musicians rise in tiers.

 

Also visit Sahelion-ki Bari, ornamental pleasure garden specially made for the ladies of the palace in the 18th century. It has beautiful fountains, trees and flowers.

 

Nearby, visit Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum, exhibiting the brilliant collection of folk articles of Rajasthan. This rare compilation varies from typical rural-dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, folk deities and paintings.

 

In the evening enjoy boat ride on the Lake Pichola. This picturesque lake encloses the Jag Niwas Island and the Jag Mandir and the City Palace extends along its eastern banks.

 

Return back to hotel for overnight.

 

 

Day 14

Udaipur – Mumbai (By Flight)

​

Moring transfer to airport to board the flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival check in the hotel. Afternoon enjoy the city tour of Mumbai.

 

Later Explore Mumbai as the locals do with a half-day tour around town, led by a private guide. Visit the most popular sights and experience the best parts of the city, with the flexibility of a specialized itinerary, planned based on your own personal interests.

 

You will be chamfered around to many of the classic tourist spots. Take advantage of the photo opportunities there and listen as your private guide explains their significance and histories. You will also be taken to some of the less common places that are just as interesting and essential to Mumbai.

 

Some of the popular destinations include the Gateway of India, the Victoria Terminus, Marine Drive and Chowpatty Beach, a visit to Gandhi’s home, Malabar Hill, the Dhobi Ghat, and more.

Mumbai - Departure   

 

Morning transfer to airport to board the flight for onwards journey.
