Setting standards; exceeding expectations
DAY 01
arrive in Beijing, upon arrival meet and transfer for tour to Temple of Heaven, and Bird's Nest (just the outside, Visit Hutong by a rickshaw, and Wangfujing Street. Beijing duck dinner . Overnight at Beijing Qianmen Jianguo Hotel or similar.
DAY 02
breakfast at hotel, followed by visit to Forbidden City and Jingshan Park, Tiananmen Square, National Centre for the Performing Arts (just the outside) . Lunch at local Chinese restaurant.
DAY 03
breakfast at hotel, Badaling Great Wall and Summer Palace with dinner at local Chinese restaurant.
DAY 04
breakfast at hotel, then transfer to the railway station for high speed bullet train to Shanghai (lunch on your own). Upon arrival meet and transfer to check in Holiday inn Express Shanghai Gongkang. PM visit to the Bund, and Nanjing Road. Dinner at local Chinese Restaurant. Optional Huangpu River Cruise in the evening.
DAY 05
breakfast at hotel followed by full day Shanghai excursion to Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden, the old town, French Concession and Shanghai Tower with lunch at local Chinese restaurant.
DAY 06
breakfast at hotel, drive to Suzhou and tour to Tiger Hill and Lingering Garden. Take a boat ride on Grand Canal with lunch at local Chinese restaurant. Later today, drive back to Shanghai.
DAY 07
full day free for leisure in Shanghai.
DAY 08
after breakfast transfer to the airport for flight home.
